Tunesian Thunder and Asian Persuasion face each other in the boxing ring. They challenge each other and get the audience excited. We have landed in the thrilling and hard competition of a boxing match in which the dancers, in their stylised dual, go to the extremes. André Gingras has been fascinated by the extreme physicality of the sport, the unambiguous struggle for victory, the spectacle and the passion. Aggression and skill go hand in hand, explosions of power are followed by a war of attrition. ‘As audience, we watch this raw dedication and, in so doing, we become an important element in the competition’.
