Our Mission
De Nederlandse Dansdagen is an organization dedicated to Dutch dance. culminating in an annual festival that takes place in and from Maastricht. During the first week of October 29-09 to 05-10 2023, a range of dance performances and the best of Dutch dance will be shown: from 'classical' to 'urban' from 'avant garde' to 'modern dance'. De Nederlandse Dansdagen aims to make the voice of dance and the dance artist louder. In addition, de Nederlandse Dansdagen deploys the power of dance to set society in motion around social issues; it challenges people to think, talk, discuss and act.
Who are we looking for?
As a volunteer at de Nederlandse Dansdagen, you are an important building block within the team and the experience of every festival visitor. Your contribution is essential to the daily activities throughout the festival. Do you care about our mission and are you excited by the diverse program of exceptional dance performances? Are you available on one or more of the above-mentioned festival days? Then we are looking for you!
The tasks include:
- Receiving and welcoming guests.
- Checking and scanning tickets.
- Attending and supervising performances.
- Supporting hospitality and catering activities.
- Supporting the team with hand and hand services.
What do we offer?
You will work in a dynamic environment where you will get a unique behind-the-scenes look at a special annual festival. For example, by supervising performances, attending award ceremonies and when your shift is over you can volunteer at the dance performances. Within the organization there is room for ideas and we work together to make the festival run smoothly. A big plus is meeting the dancers, choreographers, the organization and fellow dance enthusiasts. In short, you can experience up close how this festival is created and we need you to make it a success!
