Podium Dans

Podium Dans features choreographers and artistic directors from the leading dance companies in the Netherlands and Belgium. Each episode focuses on one guest. The most recent performance at that moment serves as a starting point for in-depth discussion and reflection on dance in all its forms. An interview is interspersed with excerpts from previous performances, documentaries, reports, and dance films related to the guest in question.

In the Louis Derlon Foyer (ground floor) in Theater aan het Vrijthof, there is a permanent exhibition showing films from Podium Dans. In 2025, the program will reach its 100th episode — a special milestone for this valuable series. For this edition of the Nederlandse Dansdagen, a special selection has been made from the rich archive of Podium Dans.
