Education Roundtable: Working with Apps in Public Education

Cacti (Alexander Ekman), Dreamplay (Johan Inger), The Statement and Parade (Crystal Pite), all well-known works by Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) have been a source of inspiration for an interactive whiteboard application for primary education. With these dance apps for teachers, NDT makes dance education available to every schoolchild in the Netherlands.

The free apps are easy for teachers to use and children from groups 1 to 8 learn about modern dance in a playful way.

During this round table discussion you will become acquainted with the dance apps developed by NDT and we will discuss the digitization of dance education. Does an app actually contribute to good dance education in primary schools? And what about the dance teacher, now that the teacher can also work independently with dance?
