Hip Hop celebrates its 50th birthday this year and it is now impossible to imagine society without it. Urban dance is part of this culture. Urban dance is an umbrella term for a large number of dance forms that originated on the street or in the clubs.
In the Netherlands, urban dance also entered mainstream theaters 25 years ago. Regular conversations take place under the name Urban Paradox where the key figures in urban dance discuss the burning issues with each other. One of the themes that will be addressed this time is how this multiform phenomenon can be appropriately archived for future generations.
