Deep Time by Astrid Boons
Deep Time by Astrid Boons has been nominated for the Swan Award for Most Impressive Dance Production of 2026.
Jury about Deep Time
“The dystopian world that choreographer Astrid Boons evokes in Deep Time is striking. Boons has a radical and uncompromising style. Her extreme movement vocabulary translates contemporary technological, climatic, and social developments into a physical language that takes your breath away.
Against a stripped-down set design and an unsettling, layered soundscape, bodies move in search of stability and connection. The impact of the futuristic body and the extreme environment results in unpredictable shifts in energy and alienating solo and partner work. Deep Time has an intriguing, distinctive atmosphere and demonstrates a visionary perspective.''
