About de Nederlandse Dansdagen
The Nederlandse Dansdagen is an organization dedicated to Dutch dance. culminating in an annual festival that takes place in Maastricht. This celebration of Dutch dance will be celebrated from October 4 to 10, 2024, in theaters, at special locations in the city, online, and from the Danstent on the Vrijthof. Under the motto Dans met mij, audiences, creators, dance companies, amateurs and professionals will be brought together to celebrate dance in all its manifestations. From classical ballet to hip-hop, from grandmasters to up-and-coming talent, from theater to film and events for young audiences. In addition, Nederlandse Dansdagen uses the power of dance to set society in motion around social issues, challenging people to think, talk, discuss and act.

Become volunteer
As a volunteer at Nederlandse Dansdagen, you are an important building block within the team and the experience of every festival visitor. Your contribution is essential to the daily activities throughout the festival. Do you care about our mission and are you excited by the diverse festival program and dance in general? Would you like to join an enthusiastic group of volunteers or expand your network in the cultural sector? Are you available on one or more of the festival days mentioned above? Then we are looking for you!
The tasks include:
- Receiving and welcoming guests.
- Checking and scanning tickets.
- Attending and supervising performances.
- Supporting hospitality and catering activities.
- Supporting the team with hand and hand services.
What do we offer?
You will work in a dynamic environment where you will get a unique look behind the scenes of the festival. For example, you will accompany performances, provide support at award ceremonies and when your shift is over you can volunteer to attend the dance performances. Within the organization there is room for ideas and we work together to make the festival run smoothly. A big plus is meeting the dancers, choreographers, the organization and fellow dance enthusiasts. In short, you can experience up close how this festival is created and we need you to make it a success!
