Our values

At Nederlandse Dansdagen we want to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment – for our team, artists, partners, and audience. We proudly share and uphold these values in our collaborations, communication, and at the festival.

1. Welcome and hospitality
We ensure a warm welcome for everyone. We create an inviting atmosphere where all feel seen and valued.

2. Openness and curiosity
We are open to new ideas and perspectives. Critical questions are always welcome: why, how, what if?

3. Respect and equality
We treat one another with respect, regardless of role, hierarchy, background, or identity.

4. Connection and collaboration
We actively seek connection and build bridges. We share responsibility to help each other grow and support one another without judgment.

5. Humanity and care
We choose empathy, humanity, and care for one another. We do not tolerate unwanted behaviour such as harassment, aggression, bullying, or discrimination.

6. Safe space and listening
We create a physically and emotionally safe environment. We give each other space to speak, listen, and learn. We talk with one another, not about one another.

7. Inclusion and diversity
We strive for a world where diversity and inclusion are self-evident. Everyone belongs.

8. Sustainable choices
We make conscious choices with respect for people, the environment, and the future.

9. Solidarity and collective strength
We believe we are stronger together. We support one another and actively contribute to a fairer world. We work to build a community based on mutual support, collaboration, and shared responsibility.
