The Nederlandse Dansdagen in local regions
This year, the Nederlandse Dansdagen festival is expanding with a regional pilot. With this expansion, the festival aims to showcase the power of dance throughout the country and reach new audiences.
The first edition will take place in Enschede from October 17 to 19, in collaboration with the Wilminktheater and Muziekcentrum Enschede. With this pilot, Nederlandse Dansdagen offers Wilminktheater and Muziekcentrum Enschede the opportunity to put together a dance program under the name of the Dansdagen that ties in with developments in their own region, the profile of the theater, and the needs of the dance audience in the city and region in question. This will stimulate various local collaborations between theaters, companies, creators, amateur arts, educational institutions, and social initiatives.
The Dansdagen in local regions
Every year in Maastricht, the Nederlandse Dansdagen focuses on the heritage, current events, and future of Dutch dance for the public, dance professionals, and society. As a national platform, Nederlandse Dansdagen aims to increase the impact of dance on society. ND believes that collaboration with local partners, stimulating regional dance hubs, and joint dance promotion are indispensable in this regard. Based on this conviction, a network of regional editions is being built, combining local strength and national visibility. After the pilot in Enschede, the desire is to add even more cities and expand further. Maastricht remains the beating heart of the festival.
Dansdagen Enschede
Van 17 t/m 19 oktober vinden de Dansdagen Enschede plaats. Net als in Maastricht strijkt de Danstent neer in het centrum van de stad. Lokale dansers, groepen en verenigingen uit Enschede en omstreken vullen het programma van de Danstent gedurende alle drie de dagen. Denk aan een workshop Argentijnse Tango, een Ecstatic Dance dansavond en een dansvoorstelling en workshop Lindy Hop. Daarnaast biedt Dansdagen Enschede ook grote voorstellingen aan zoals VSCD Zwaan genomineerde voorstellingen Raging Against Various Elements van AKR/Connor Schumacher en Klein, Klein Vogeltje (4+) van Lloydscompany, maar ook Bad Nature van Club Guy & Roni, The Edge of Things van NDT2, Triumvirate van OFFprojects en de familie voorstelling GOD is a DJ (12+) van SALLY.

Dansdagen Enschede will take place from October 17 to 19. Just like in Maastricht, the Danstent will be set up in the city center, the beautiful art deco-style Spiegeltent. Local dancers, groups, and associations from Enschede and the surrounding area will fill the program of the Spiegeltent at the Oude Markt during all three days. Think of an Argentine Tango workshop, a salsa workshop, and a Lindy Hop dance performance and workshop. In addition, Dansdagen Enschede also offers major performances such as VSCD Swan nominated performances Raging Against Various Elements by ARK/Connor Schumacher and Klein, Klein Vogeltje (4+) by Lloydscompany.
