VSCD Dance Awards - The Golden Swan
The Dance Awards of the VSCD (the Association of Theatres and Concert Halls Directors) have been associated with the Nederlandse Dansdagen since 2003 and are presented during the Nederlandse Dansdagen Gala. A festive evening that officially opens the festival. Guy Weizman and Roni Haver (Club Guy & Roni) received the Golden Swan in 2025.
From the jury report
Throughout their long-standing collaboration, Guy Weizman and Roni Haver have left their own unique mark on interdisciplinary work with their boldness and infectious artistic enthusiasm. They consistently impress with their form of danced ‘total theater XXL’ accompanied by newly composed live music.
Their visual language is rich and idiosyncratic, their dance language diverse and full of vitality, and their attitude towards the audience very open. The themes are topical and urgent and are presented in a convincing manner. Polyphony and inclusivity are an integral part of their creative practice, and several dancers have been associated with the company for many years. Club Guy & Roni provides a platform for new talent and is, also internationally, an unmissable artistic force in the Dutch dance scene.
