A moving ode to the body that keeps moving, despite change.

In Schemerlicht, Marc Vlemmix, winner of the Nederlandse Dansdagen Maastricht 2025 Innovation Prize, focuses on the changing body. The dancers move at their own pace and rhythm: slowness takes on meaning and repetition becomes strength. In this moving performance, we look back on the development the dancers have undergone, both personally and physically, through ten years of footage. We see how the artists’ dance has become richer over the years, precisely because of the physical challenges they live with. 

Marc Vlemmix Dance is a Rotterdam-based company that works with dancers whose movement is constantly changing due to conditions such as Parkinson’s, rheumatism, MS or old age.
