You can almost always choose your own seats at venues with numbered seats. Once you have found the performance you want to order on our website, there is a 'Tickets' button on the right side of the screen. If you click on this, a seating plan will appear at 'placarded' performances, where you can select your seats. Performances at external venues such as Kumulus, Danstentent and Opera Zuid are not placarded. For these performances, you can only select the number of tickets.
You can. After you have chosen your tickets and seats at a performance, you can click on the "Continue shopping" button in step two of the ordering process (Payment and delivery method). You can then choose tickets for another performance. These will be added to your shopping cart with the tickets for the other performance(s).
You cannot order wheelchair seats through the website. This can only be done by phone or at the OFF desk of the Theater aan het Vrijthof. In connection with space, you may be asked for the dimensions of the wheelchair. Please keep these dimensions handy. Most venues are fully or partially wheelchair accessible. Learn more about wheelchair accessibility on the pages for all locations.
The companion can accompany the wheelchair visitor free of charge upon presentation of the official Public Transport Companion Pass. If for some other reason you are unable to come to the theater on your own and you have an official OV escort pass, you can claim a free ticket for your escort. When you click on 'Tickets' at the desired performance, you can select your seats. In the pop-up screen, you then choose which 'type' of tickets you want for each seat. Here, select 'Regular' for adults and 'Child' for children. For the other, non-placed, venues, you can very easily specify how many tickets you want at the regular price and how many tickets you want at a different price.
As long as you have not completed the order, you can go back to Step 1 of the ordering process: Ticket and Seat Selection. Here you delete the seat that has the wrong price type and then select the seat again. You will now select the price type "Child" in the pop-up screen.
If you have already completed the order, you can no longer change your selection. This is because you have already purchased the tickets and your purchase is immediately processed in our POS system. In this case, please contact the UITbalie on 043 350 55 55 or uitbalie@maastricht.nl to change the tickets to another price type.
Payment can be made via iDEAL, Credit Card and Bancontact.
If you have lost or forgotten your admission tickets, we provide duplicate tickets. Please contact the UITbalie 043 350 55 55 or uitbalie@maastricht.nl for this. If you ordered tickets online and have an account with Theater aan het Vrijthof, you can re-download your tickets in the theater's online environment. To get to your online environment, click on the 'puppet' in the menu on the website.
As of September 1, 2022, a new exchange and refund policy is in effect. You can exchange or return your tickets until 4 hours before the performance at the latest. So you can still exchange or return your tickets on the day of the performance in case of illness and/or a positive corona test. We do request that you let us know as early as possible if you wish to exchange or return your tickets, so that we have the opportunity to resell them.
- Exchanges are free of charge for tickets to another performance, unless that performance is more expensive. Then you must pay the difference in price.
- You can also have the value of your ticket converted to an online refund credit for free in your 'My Theater' environment. You can see the current (remaining) balance and expiration date of your credit in your online account.
- Prefer your money back? Then you pay € 6 administrative costs per ticket (up to a maximum of € 24 per transaction). For a season ticket holder this is € 3 administration fee per ticket (up to a maximum of € 12 per transaction).
For children up to 14 years of age, we apply a children's price at family and youth performances. This price varies per performance.
