New management Nederlandse Dansdagen
Claudia Laenen and Lobke Nabuurs join the Nederlandse Dansdagen' collegiate board part-time from 1 October. Together with general director Ronald Wintjens, they will work out the ambitions and challenges for the coming period to further strengthen the development of Nederlandse Dansdagen for the future. With this new composition of leadership, content, business management, marketing and development will be strategically integrated to ensure a sustainable future for the foundation.
As of 1 September, Nederlandse Dansdagen bids farewell to interim business director Winfred Voordendag. We thank him for his dedication over the past period.
Claudia has been part of the Nederlandse Dansdagen team since 2019. She currently holds the position of head of marketing & development and assistant business director. Claudia knows the dance sector inside and out. She herself has danced professionally for ten years, at home and abroad. After her dance career, she retrained as a strategic marketer. In this role, she worked for six years at Nederlands Dans Theater, where she was responsible for, among other things, the strategy and approach to venues, digital strategy and collaborations aimed at audience development and sponsorship/branding. As co-founder of CASC International Arts Management and a consultant in the dance world, she further specialised in strategic advice for cultural organisations, focusing on marketing, branding and development.
Dance has always been a common thread in Lobke's life. After a brief stint as a dance teacher, she obtained her Bachelor in Business Administration from the Hogeschool TIO in 2008. She then worked for eight years at Nederlands Dans Theater as manager of planning, media and music, where she was responsible for theatre sales both nationally and internationally, digitisation and copyright. As co-founder of CASC International Arts Management and a consultant in the dance world, Lobke specialised in relationship management, artist management and internationalisation. She completed the LinC Z leadership course at Utrecht University and has been business director at RIDCC (Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition) since 2019 and OFFprojects/Amos Ben-Tal since 2022. Lobke has also contributed to the cultural sector as a member of the festivals monitor committee at the Raad van Cultuur. She also supports the performing arts as a sounding board member at Stichting Sociale Veiligheid Podiumkunsten.
Mavis Carrilho, chairman supervisory board Nederlandse Dansdagen:
"As the supervisory board, we are proud to underline new leadership in which a broad base is laid under the organisation from different areas of expertise. Nederlandse Dansdagen works with a compact team, for the continuity of the organisation it is important, especially now, to see essential tasks and responsibilities reflected in this composition."
Ronald Wintjens, general director Nederlandse Dansdagen:
"Nederlandse Dansdagen has grown in recent years in terms of visitor numbers, diversification in offerings and audiences, locations in the city of Maastricht, own projects and number of days. To ensure ND's impact for Dutch dance and to strengthen our role as booster and promoter, it is important to look to the future and organise accordingly. I am therefore greatly looking forward to getting started together with Claudia and Lobke."
