Three choreographers have a chance to win the €25,000 incentive prize
The nominees for the Innovation Award Nederlandse Dansdagen Maastricht 2024 have been announced today! In January 2024, dance professionals and enthusiasts could nominate choreographers for a chance to win this incentive prize. From over many entries, a jury consisting of dance and cultural professionals ultimately selected three creators.

The nominees for the Innovation Award Nederlandse Dansdagen Maastricht 2024 are: Annemijn Rijk, Anne Suurendonk and Poernima Gobardhan.
On Friday, October 4, the prize will be awarded during the Nederlandse Dansdagen Gala at Theater aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht.
Innovation Award Nederlandse Dansdagen Maastricht
This year is the third time the Innovation Award Nederlandse Dansdagen Maastricht will be awarded. This incentive prize provides a sum of €25,000 with the support of the City of Maastricht to give the winner more clout in producing their ideas. The new work or creative process will be presented for the first time during the Nederlandse Dansdagen 2025.
Winner of the Innovation Award 2023, Junadry Leocaria, will show part of her new work during the Nederlandse Dansdagen 2024.
Nederlandse Dansdagen Gala
The Innovation Award Nederlandse Dansdagen Maastricht is awarded annually during the Nederlandse Dansdagen Gala in the Theater aan het Vrijthof. A festive evening where, in addition to the Innovation Award, the prestigious VSCD Swans will also be awarded. The Gala is framed by various performances by former award winners, leading creators, new talent and surprising guests.
