HOT WALK

HOT WALK is a multidisciplinary performance by choreographer Keren Levi, exploring the intersection of climate change, aging, and parenthood.

The piece delves into the dual nature of transformation, highlighting both its challenges and restorative effects. Set against projected images of a picturesque park landscape, the performance features conversations in English between two women walking on treadmills, creating the illusion of traversing the park. Their discussions shift between topics such as menopause, global warming, motherhood, and related "hot" issues like shame, anger, and regret.

The dialogue unfolds gradually, interspersed with intervals where dance steadily assumes a more central role—walking becomes rocking, speech turns to song, and the park transforms into other realms. As the audience, we witness a blend of dry humor and disquieting interaction, creating an impression of lively spontaneity within the controlled aesthetics of the simulated park.

By blending the personal with the planetary, HOT WALK connects inner and outer climates, offering a vivid yet restrained exploration of change.
