Rewilding Dutch Dance

Three creators, three distinct worlds, one shared movement: reclaiming space. In this performance, the body becomes a place of resistance, memory and imagination. The choreographers challenge existing structures and open up new perspectives on femininity, identity, complexity and decolonisation. Their work demonstrates how dance can provoke, liberate and redefine who is allowed to be seen.

The Knot – Elisa Zuppini

In The Knot, Elisa Zuppini explores the body as a living knot: complex, on edge and in constant motion. The body takes shape through a series of sculptural postures and entanglements that feel both physical and poetic. Inspired by the idea of the knot as a labyrinth in which one searches for a way out, Zuppini approaches the knot not merely as a form, but as an experience. A charged encounter develops between the performer and the audience, inviting us to rethink our relationship with the body.

WOLF – Fay van Baar

In WOLF, a temporary space is created in which the Archetypal Wild Woman can exist — a presence that is often given little room in modern society. Not a struggle or a call for change, but an invitation to be present and to make space for intuitive, instinctive and creative feminine power.

For twenty minutes, bodies and stories unfold on stage like an ecosystem that is allowed to breathe again. Inspired by the return of the wolves to Yellowstone, which transformed the landscape simply through their presence, WOLF explores what can emerge when wildness is not suppressed, but welcomed.

Birds of Paradise – Thais di Marco

‘Bird of Paradise’ is the name of both a flower and a pole dance move. A pose in which the body opens up as if it were about to take flight. One leg remains firmly rooted to the ground, whilst the other is raised high behind the body. The back arches, the chest opens, the spine curved like a sunrise.

In that single moment, the dancer becomes both human and bird: suspended between strength and surrender, between control and enchantment. We invite you to step into this space and entrust your shortcomings, desires and doubts to the magical birds.
