Nederlandse Dansdagen 2008
The 2007/2008 season was an exuberant dance year in which over 100 dance productions had their premières. Nederlandse Dansdagen is providing a now-or-never opportunity to see the most striking and significant dance works staged in the previous season.
The season’s highlights are handpicked by a selection committee, comprised of photographers and filmmakers who have earned their spurs in capturing dance art on “film”. In many ways, the previous season was also the year of master-choreographer Hans van Manen. The world of dance held a fantastic international festival to pay homage to Van Manen, who celebrated his 75th birthday. No overview of last season’s dance highlights would be complete without an example of his work.
