Nederlandse Dansdagen 2019
The theme of Nederlandse Dansdagen in 2019 is dance close by and stands for the following: Dance is for and from everyone and everyone can and may dance along.
Nederlandse Dansdagen identifies in 2019: as breeding ground for dance by making use of the richness of its heritage to provide contemporary dance with a context and to help shape the dance of the future; as festival for young audiences, the talent and the audience of tomorrow by providing a program especially for all age categories from three years; as a festival that transcends borders, by inviting international and regional guests and initiating meetings and collaborations, with the aim of promoting Dutch dance internationally; as a source of innovation by focusing on cultural heritage by means of the dansMuseum that shows exhibitions and collections, organizes educative projects and encourages academic research and the exchange of expertise in the area of Dutch dance.
